I'm here, just barely.

When I started this blog no one really knew what a blog was or why people created them. It's just like the UGGs, when I bought them no one else had them nor did they understand them.

http://www.cnn.com/2006/LAW/01/11/cubans.wetfoot.ap/index.html

this absolutely INFURIATES me. this woman is upset because the rest of her family tried to enter the country illegally and got sent back to Cuba. good, they should have been sent back. in fact they should send her and the rest of the illegal immigrants back too. ridiculous.

"Those people who think they know everything are a great annoyance to those of us who do."
-Isaac Asimov,
American writer

Yup. That pretty much sums it up.

The case of the confused Hamburglar.

And in related news.

jesus! if i would have known that, i would have wallpapered my room in scales. although i can't really complain b/c i really didn't gain the freshmen 15. right away. i snuck up on me. i should have known eating ramen noodles and/or cluck u at 3am every morning would catch up with me. soooo faaaatttttt.

in completely unrelated news...
anti-abortion man has followed me! he used to hold his completely inappropriate sign outside of my old building on 50th and 6th...how the hell does he know where my new office is??!!
that man is the bane of my existence. one of the many.

They weren't kidding about the MINI-lunch tote.

i just went into the Cole Haan in my building and the thing was the size of my make-up bag. i should have known by the $175 price that it would be tiny.

There is a planned Anti-Fur protest scheduled for Friday, November 25 outside the Time Warner Center shopping mall between 12:45-2:00pm. The group protesting is an activist against fur group. They will be demonstrating in front of the building on the Columbus Circle side. CNN security is advising employees not to wear fur or anything that looks like fur on Friday. New York City Police will be monitoring the protest.

received that in an e-mail today. SO STEAMED. don't get me wrong, i love animals and hate people that are cruel to them. BUT i also love having the freedom to be able to wear anything i damn well please with out having some wannabe tree hugger who probably wears leather shoes throwing red paint at me, or whatever they do these day. good thing i will no be here on 11/25. this makes me almost as made the the anti-abortion guy that stands outside of my old building and jesus man on 42nd and 8th.

oh, i forgot...entertaining convo from last night...

me: ok, let me call you back in a little bit. i have to go drop off my laundry, in the pouring rain.

bf: ok honey. just watch out for those trees.

followed by hysterical laughter on both ends. i'm carrying an axe through the mean streets of hoboken.

72% there's still hope!

found this while entertaining myself with away messages and profiles. i'm not ashamed to admitt it. you know you do it.

"I haven't heard that many gunshots," said Gracy Muniz, 22, a mother of three who lives in North Camden.

what's wrong with this statement?

camden, NJ was name the most dangerous cities to live in. how wonderful. i hate how the county that i grew up in is named "Camden County". talk about false advertisement.
why on earth would they name a county that is filled with towns that are about as dangerous as my parent's basset hounds after a sess-pool of a city with the highest crime rate in america is beyond me.

in other stories...if you were walking down 1st and hudson yesterday you might have seen a girl walk into a tree. then you probably laughed hysterically. as i would have IF IT WASN'T ME! i blame it completely on the the damn parking situation in hoboken. i was speed walking and reading a parking sign to my left to make sure the bf's car did not get towed and SMACK, face first into a tree. it was perhaps one the clumsiest things i've ever done. but the good part was that i was in way too much pain to be embarrassed. this is all a string of clumsy things that have plagued me in the last few months. ripped seem in mid-october. i broken shoe in august. and now a busted up face in november. what's next?! i am keeping away from sharp object this thanksgiving, no carving the bird for me.
